Workflow Tango

Although the concept isn’t exactly new (it has been covered and discussed in length for quite some time), I still get asked how I manage to successfully juggle my busy workload while living a fairly balanced life.
The short answer is “focus”. But that’s only part of the equation. The remainder is a collection of small techniques and life hacks that help increase productivity.
Step #1: Don’t keep a schedule
Although very effective, this is a somewhat impractical tip for the vast majority of professionals. You can read more about the theory here. If you think you can get away with it, give this one a try.
Step #2: Avoid meetings whenever you can
But if you do have to take meetings, try to run them while standing.
Step #3: Apply structured procrastination
Odds are you’re already using this in your daily life. If not, give it a try. If it doesn’t seem to work, feel free to “sleep on it”.
I guess it’s worth mentioning that I’m still trying out various other life hacks, but out of the ones I’ve tried so far these would be my current favorites. Feel free to chip in if you know of any other useful techniques.
